Andy Escobedo, age 73, lifelong resident of West Chicago, passed away on November 14, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born on July 13, 1950 in Geneva, IL to Pablo and Guadalupe Escobedo. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran and lifetime member of VFW Post 6791 in West Chicago. Andy was united in marriage on August 17, 1996 to Theresa “Terry” Kozlowski. He loved fishing and he especially loved his family.
Andy is survived by his wife Terry, children, David (Stephanie) Escobedo, Josh (Lisa) Escobedo, Matt Escobedo, Scott Kozlowski and LuAnne (Kenny) Thorne; grandchildren, Will, Alexandra, Gus, Taylor, Kayla, Aria, Lily, Hadley, Sebastian and Eric; greatgrandchildren, Leilani and AJ, brothers and sisters, Elodia (Randy) Hall, Henry (Deanna) Escobedo, Eloise (Joe) Foy, Jesus (Teri) Escobedo, Yolanda Escobedo, Paul Escobedo, Darren (Chele) Escobedo, and relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Pablo (Rose) and Guadalupe.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago (One block north of Washington St. & Main St). Funeral services on Monday, November 20, 2023 at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Services will conclude at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in Andy’s memory may be made to VFW Post 6791, 431 N. Neltnor Blvd, West Chicago, IL 60185.
