Andy Harris

Andy was born in Bluewater Village, New Mexico in 1931. He grew up on Mount Taylor during the Great Depression. He was running his father's pool hall at the age of twelve. Andy learned how to be a man at a very young age.

He married the love of his life Barbara Brandley on September 15, 1951. They were married for almost 63 years. Barbara went to be with her Lord and Savior in 2015.
Andy was also preceded in death by his son Jim Harris in 2011, and his grandson Kyle Van Doren in 2019.

He is survived by his daughters Sheryl Templeton (Don); Dana Van Doren (Dave); and son Bill Mitchell (Pat). He is also survived by his grandchildren Bryan O'Neill, Brad Van Doren, and Erin O'Neill. He has great grandchildren, nephews and nieces, all of which he adored.

Our father was an active member at Sandia Baptist Church. He was also involved with the Gideon Ministry for many years.

Andy had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned a successful contracting business for many years. He was an excellent provider for his family.

Andy loved to play pool and was an incredible player. He had many wonderful friends at the Senior Center. He loved car racing; Indy, Nascar, and anything he could drive that was fast.

We will miss our father very much, but we will see him again in heaven. We miss you so much Dad!
