Andy Brian Ziegelman was born on October 18, 1982, in Breckenridge, MN, to Brian and Anita (Koehler) Ziegelman. He graduated from Wahpeton High School in 2002, lettering in Basketball. After graduation, he was employed by Krause Brothers Construction for 15 years. In September 2021, he began a new adventure at Vaderstad in Wahpeton.
Andy was a very active guy. He enjoyed many things, but hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, darts, and softball were his favorites. He was always present for the annual fishing trip to Sakakawea, ND, and various hunting trips with family and friends. During the summer, softball was his life, and in the winter, dart league and snowmobiling through the mountains of Wyoming and Montana consumed his time.
On May 19, 2018, he married the love of his life, Carmen Bahr. The couple plus Izzy, their fur baby, made their home in Wahpeton.
In December of 2021, Andy was diagnosed with cancer of the appendix, and completed the treatment regimen. Shortly after in September of 2022, he found out that the cancer had spread to his peritoneum. Andy didn’t let that get him down though and put up a good fight. In between his diagnoses and treatments, he still joined his team for softball games.
Andy is survived by his wife, Carmen; parents, Brian (Candy) Ziegelman, Anita (Gerry) Becker; siblings, Jessica Becker and Wayne Becker; in-laws, Jeff (Deb) Bahr, Harry Daker; aunts, Wanda (Paul) Zietlow, Peggy (Tim) Fliehs, Pam (Brian) Brotherton, Judy (Roger) Braun, Liz (Randy) Thiele, Lois (Greg) Krautbauer, Mary Koehler; uncle Sam (Christy) Koehler; brother/sister in laws, Travis (Nicole) Bahr, Cassie (Eric) Heuer, Ethan (Brittney) Bahr; nieces and nephews, Aubree, Addison, Jaymie, Caleb, Carson, Caitlyn, Weston, Avett, Judah, Theia, Charlotte, Bexley, Hank; many cousins; and his fur baby Izzy.
