Angel Koo, a committed clinical trial manager, loving mother of two, and steadfast wife, passed away peacefully at the age of 44 in her home in
Naperville, Illinois.
Angel led a life rich with experience, warmth, and quiet strength. Born in South Korea and having lived in various parts of the United States-from the vibrant city of Seoul to the peaceful neighborhoods of New Providence, NJ-Angel embraced each place with curiosity. A careful adventurer, she journeyed across the country with her family from New Jersey to Washington in a minivan, searching for a home that felt right. Wherever she lived, she made it a place of comfort, connection, and laughter.
She was the heart of her family. A devoted mother, she gave her children not only unwavering love, but also joy, silliness, dance, and home-cooked meals made with deep care. Her love language was health and nourishment-she always went the extra mile to ensure her family had healthy food and even better memories. As a wife, she walked beside him with patience and unwavering support. Everything they did, they did together-as a team, as a family.
Angel loved nature and found beauty in the simple things: peaceful walks at Herrick Lake in Wheaton, bright trails in Idaho, a moment of sunlight, a blooming tree. She was the quiet observer, the family's photographer, always behind the camera, recording others with love. Her personality reflected the same grace-soaking up the warmth and kindness around her and gently radiating it back into the world.
She cherished innocent, lighthearted conversation, enjoyed romantic comedies, and had an intuitive connection to people who were soft, calm, and caring. As a practicing Catholic, she found comfort and joy in the beauty of her faith. As a Korean American, she was deeply proud of her heritage and shared it with her children and the community with excitement.
Professionally, Angel was a fierce and dedicated clinical trial manager who took her work seriously. Managing complex trials, coordinating across teams, and supporting the Lantheus mission to fight disease, she not only got things done-she built genuine, lasting relationships along the way.
Angel's life was one of purpose, love, and quiet impact. She leaves behind her husband Michael and two beloved children Andrew and Bella, countless cherished memories, and a legacy of care that touched all who knew her. Her presence will be missed deeply, but her spirit remains with us-in laughter, in gentleness, in strength.
