Angel McGinnis

Angel "Mittens" Dawn McGinnis 10, of South Point, passed away Saturday (December 18, 2010) in Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. The Portsmouth, Ohio native was born May 21, 2000, the daughter of Bruce McGinnis and his fiancee', Mandy Clonch and Marsha Adkins McGinnis all of South Point, Ohio. Angel was a 5th grade student at South Point Elementary School and was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, she is survived by: a brother: Bryce McGinnis of South Point maternal grandparents: Everett and Sheri Adkins of Ironton, OH and Marsha and Walt Robb of Jackson, OH paternal grandparents: Bruce and Ann McGinnis of Ironton, OH and Chrystal Fauver of Hamilton, OH great grandparents: Doug and Susan McGinnis of Ashland, KY and Joan McGinnis of Florida and Grant and Ann Montgomery of Hamilton, OH There was a private funeral service with Rev. Grant Montgomery officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio is in charge of the arrangements. It was Angel's "Mittens" dream to become a Vet and help animals, donations may be made to help further this cause to a memorial fund in memory of Angel to Community Trust Bank, 1544 Winchester Ave. PO Box 671, Ashland, KY 41101.
