Angela Maureen Applegate

Angela Maureen Applegate, age 56, of Springfield, Missouri passed away early Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield. She was born on November 16, 1966, in Springfield, Missouri to Voyne & and Barbara (Hall) Applegate. Angela was born into a life of adversity with cerebral palsy, however, with the support and love of her family she attended Green Valley State School and graduated. You could find her enjoying classical country music from the 60s and 70s including Hank Williams and Conway Twitty. Angela could usually always be found with her set of keys to shake and jingle around. She was a sweet soul who could bring joy to many people's lives.
She was preceded in death by her father, and a brother, Steven Applegate.
Angela is survived by her mother, Barbara, of the home; four brothers and their wives, Tracy and Carole Applegate, Kevin and Reta Applegate, Shannon and Cheri Applegate, and Jason and Linda Applegate, all of Springfield; a sister and her husband, Katrina and Victor Ryan of Strafford, Missouri; two half-brothers and their wives, Rodney and Vicky Applegate and Chuck and Dena Applegate, both of Springfield; a special niece who helped care for Angela, Ashton Applegate, of Springfield; and numerous other nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family will accept visitors on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home, North with a graveside service on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Missouri.
