ROTTERDAM – Angela Ferrandino, 91, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Albany, Angela was the daughter of the late Samuel and Giovanna Florio DiMura. She grew up on Madison Avenue, raised by hardworking Italian parents who instilled in her a deep sense of dedication and strong work ethic. After graduating high school, Angela found joy working in the hospitality industry, beginning at the Golden Foxx Restaurant and later at The Silo at the Ramada Inn. Angela was a gifted and deeply spiritual woman, devoted to both her family and her faith. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Peace, formerly Our Lady of the Assumption, where she participated in the Tuesday Rosary Group and was a loyal member of the Rosary Society. Family gatherings were her greatest joy; she was an exceptional cook and baker who treasured the closeness and traditions of family above all else. She was also a longtime member of the Colonie Elks and a devoted QVC shopper—so devoted that her family often joked she could have been “QVC Shopper of the Year.” Angela was predeceased by her beloved first husband, Thomas Caruso (deceased August 23, 1971), and by their infant sons, both named Richard, who passed shortly after birth. She was also predeceased by her siblings Frank DiMura, Tony DiMura, Joey DiMura, Vincy DiMura, and Mary Van Zandt. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Joseph Ferrandino, whose unwavering love and devoted care brought comfort and strength to Angela. Angela is also survived by her loving children—who came into her life with Thomas—Linda (Anthony) Martin, Thomas (Kim) Caruso, Sandra Caruso, LuAnn (Michael) Hill, and Dena (David) Jegabbi; her grandchildren Erica (Dean) Cirilla, Matthew (Kim) Martin, Anthony (Natalie) Caruso, Karisa (Kyle) Bartling, Chiara (Devin) Rondeau, and Lindsay Caruso; great-grandchildren Melina, Luke, Kamryn, Deano, Luciano, Antonio, Giuliano, Wyatt, Lennox, and Presley; great-great-grandson Tony; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 29th, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Church on State Street. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. All are invited to attend. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Glendale Nursing Home for the kindness, compassion, and dignity they provided to Angela. In honor of Angela’s memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Jack Falvo III Foundation at www.jacksplace.org
