Angela Loy Hernandez, 73, beloved Mother, Spouse, Sister, Grandmother, and servant of the Lord, was called to her eternal resting place on November 1, 2025. She entered this world on October 29, 1952, in Silver City, NM, born to Amador Orsua Loy and Avelina Maria Medrano Loy.
She loved to sew, make clothes and dresses, and take care of babies, just like her mother. She enjoyed cooking and cleaning for her house and children. She lived her hobbies and passions through her kids by enrolling them in many activities and taking them to school games, giving her kids the opportunities in life that she always wanted. And she didn't just stop there, she supported and met the needs of her grandkid's whether it was raising them or financially supporting them. She always helped and put others before herself. She got joy out of seeing other people happy. But the greatest love of her life, from which she got her inspiration and happiness from, was her brother Leonard Loy.
She accomplished her goals by having a house, becoming a mom, and providing for her family. For the holidays, she taught her kids how to cook many foods like flour tortillas, Chile Colorado, and tamales. She made a few sewing achievements, one of them being when she sewed Pelona's quinceñera dress. It was the hardest design piece that she put together, and it turned out amazing, better than a professional. She received so many compliments that day. She also made Halloween costumes and holiday dresses for her kids and grandkids, and it turned out incredible. Her artistry and creativity in her sewing came from the passion she put into her work and the love for her kids.
She is survived by her husband, Melecio Hernandez; her children: Crita Gonzales, Angela Hernandez-Brown (deceased), Richard Hernandez, Genoveva Hernandez, Crystal Hernandez-Medrano, and Jennifer Hernandez-Al Motaireen; her grandchildren: Avelina Rivera, Frankie Rivera, Mia Hernandez, Carlos Tapia, Destany Tapia, Sandra Camacho, Maria Camacho, Natalie Leon, Susan Leon, Nathan Leon, Jacob Leon, Melanie Medrano, Madelyn Medrano, Matthew Medrano, Ayden Hernandez, and Ghammar Al Motaireen.
