Angela Dawn Johnson

Angela Dawn Johnson, 55, of Lafe, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.

She was born on October 29, 1970, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to the late Kirk and Rosetta Bruce. Angela dedicated several years of her life to caring for others as a nurse, a profession that reflected her compassionate and giving nature. She was a faithful member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.

Angela found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved watching television, especially classic shows like Hogan’s Heroes and The Andy Griffith Show. She enjoyed reading and treasured the time she spent with her family. Above all, Angela loved being a grandmother—she truly lived for her grandchildren and was a wonderful and devoted “Nana.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by those who helped shape her life, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Anthony Johnson of the home; one daughter, Heath Daniele Johnson-Morris (Rowdy) of Hot Springs; two sisters, Latisha Busch of Jonesboro and Stephanie Tolley of Oregon; three grandchildren, Drake Ferguson, Gracelynn Brocker, and Phoenix Lemons; as well as Judy Gibson, who was like a mother to her, and Larry Busch, who was like a father.
