Angela Jones, born on February 11, 1951, in Virginia, passed away peacefully from natural causes on November 28, 2025, in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was 74 years old.

Angela dedicated many years of her life to her work as a 411 operator with the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company, where she endeared herself to colleagues and customers alike through her warm and helpful nature.

In her personal life, Angela had a profound love for watching football, with a special fondness for the Washington Redskins. Her competitive spirit shone through in her enjoyment of playing dominoes and trying her luck at the slot machines. She also found joy in following the dramatic twists and turns of her favorite soap opera, "The Young and the Restless."

Angela is preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Timon, and her siblings Claude, Calvin, Gary, and Muriel. Her memory will be cherished by her surviving family, including her life companion of fifty-two years, Willie Jones and her three children, Charles Marks, Karen Marks, and Shanda Jones, all residing in Maryland; her grandchildren, D'Angelo, Jazmin, Anthony, Aja, and Mackenzie; and her great-grandchildren, D'Angelo Jr., Tmoni, Peyton, Preston, Royalty, Majesty, Empress, Jamaal Jr., and Amiyah. She is also survived by her siblings, Donnie and Sandra and her goddaughter, Lakesha.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date by her family to honor and celebrate Angela's life.

Angela's presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends, yet her memory will continue to bring comfort and inspiration to those who knew her.
