Angela Catherine Larkins

Angela Catherine Larkins, 89, of Newark, passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 21, 1936, to the late William Leonard and Gertrude Ann (Bremmelhaus) Greissel.

A parishioner of St. Leonard Catholic Church, Angela was a devoted "housemom" who created many memories with her family. She also worked at K-Mart later in her life. She was known for being sociable and enjoying state fairs, gardening, canning, ceramics, reading, cooking, and making homemade bread and butter pickles.

Angela will be greatly missed by her children, Laura Goldman, Billy (Theresa) Larkins, and Daniel (Lisa) Larkins; grandchildren, Sarah (Daniel) Gribbin, Brent (Monica Castaneda) Goldman, Angela Larita (Shane) Heckman, and Matthew (Gana) Larkins; and great-grandchildren, Theo, Mason, and Oliver; and her sister, Linda Snyder.

In addition to her parents, Angela was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Larkins; and 6 sisters and one brother.

Calling will be held locally at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 4-7 P.M., Monday, February 2, 2026, with a Vigil Service at 6:30 P.M.

In addition, calling will be held at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, Fairdale, Kentucky 10-11 A.M., Thursday, February 5, 2026, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa of Calcutta Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Mount Holly Cemetery in Fairdale, Kentucky.
