In the stillness between heartbeats, Angela Lee Rodgers of Greenfield, IN, passed from this life into her Creator's arms on September 15, 2024.
Angela was born August 11, 1964 to Mark and Virginia Frame and grew up in New Castle, IN graduating from New Castle High School in 1982. She earned her bachelor's degree from IU in 2007. Wherever she went, she led her church in music as an inspired and inspiring Music Director, Accompanist, and Worship Leader. She served Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Castle for 15 years, followed by five years at Mohawk United Methodist Church. Most recently, she served St. James Lutheran Church in Greenfield, IN. She called on people to tune their instruments and raise their voices in praise. Her choirs, cantatas, and orchestras brought people together in joyful worship. In addition, she served children as a Family Case Manager in the Department of Child Services. She gave of herself to her work families, her church family, her pets, and her Family. Her family surrounded her with love during the months she battled cancer. She remains the glue that binds our hearts together. She is survived by her husband, Gary Rodgers, and children, Ryan Loughmiller (Stacie), Brittany Padgett (Stephen), Jeremy Rodgers (Stephanie), Allison Jefferson (Derrick), and her beloved dog, Samson. Angela is best known as Nana to Samuel, Isabel Rose, Dharma (Trey), Cade, Cohen, Camden, Crue, Tatianna, Reese, and Laila. And Great Nana to Nora.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Sproles Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Jeffery Gramza officiating.
Friends may call from 4 – 8 pm Friday and one hour prior to the funeral service Saturday at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Crown Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Richard Blue officiating. You may offer the family a personal condolence at www.sprolesfamilycares.com.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. For several years, Angela had welcomed me as a visiting organist for the Christmas Eve service at Holy Trinity in New Castle. I always loved working with her-and, in fact, was thinking of her just today, before this news came.

As Angela often said, "no words." There are no words to express the sadness. There really aren't any words to express Angela's profound impact on our family and so many others. Her gift of music, and in particular, her ability to encourage and support all to share in her love of music is a living legacy. Love you all.
