Our loving Momma, wife, and Grama Angie returned to her Father in Heaven on Friday, October 10, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She was born to Geraldine Toombs and Charles C. Farrell on January 30, 1956. Her siblings are Peggie (David) Arnold, Pamala (Dennis) Day, Patty Farrell, and Penny (Daryl) Rundberg.
Mom was our best friend from the day we were born and now she is our precious guardian angel.
She lived her life on her own terms, with family, education and her political views at the forefront.
She graduated high school from Clearfield High in Clearfield, Utah with the class of 1974.
Mom held an associate degree in nursing, a bachelor of science degree majoring in health administration, with a minor in health education. She also held a case management certification with a few courses towards her masters in science.
Her medical expertise, determination, and strength was evident in all of her career positions, but her favorite was working in the Mother/Baby unit at Ogden Regional Medical Center (ORMC) in Ogden, Utah.
She enjoyed, to a fault, helping others. She was warm, caring and strong minded. She loved the ocean and she loved to travel.
On February 4, 1977, she married John Daniel Handrahan and had three children: Nicole Leigh Handrahan Code (Dee), Shon Lyle Handrahan and Tiana Anne Handrahan Spackman (Kelly). She and John were later divorced.
On June 18, 2016 mom married Brian Smith. Blended families aren't always easy, but ours worked.
Over the years, as our family grew, mom realized just how much she loved being a Grama. She loved spending time with and spoiling her seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
As we mourn the loss of mom, we are comforted in the knowledge she was greeted in heaven by her sisters, Peggie and Pam, her parents, and her best friend, Teresa Collier.
On Monday, October 27, 2025 there will be a viewing and burial in Salem, Oregon.
