Angela Denise Snyder, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on June 30, 1965, Angela was known for her boundless energy, sense of humor, and warm heart. She battled cancer courageously for six years, showing unwavering strength and a determined will to fight for as long as she could.
Angela is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Matthew Gannon of McLeansville; her husband of 30 years, Charles Thomas Snyder Jr. of Ridgeway, VA; her dear younger brother, Jaime Locklear of Pleasant Garden; her cherished best friend and sister at heart, Terrah Lewis of Eden; her precious cat, Daisy-Mae; and many extended family members whom she held dear.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Phoebe McDole, and her father, James Locklear.
Angela was a vibrant soul who loved to dance, make people laugh, and brighten anyone’s day. She was a spitfire who spoke her mind, regardless of how her words might be received, but she was also sweet and kind, lifting others with her hugs. Her homemade cooking was unmatched, and her willingness to help those she loved was boundless. Angela, affectionately known as "Little Bit", worked for many years for Tastee Freez, Bojangles, and McDonalds, where she was a biscuit maker and a grill cook and made many friends. She shared many laughs with everyone she met. Her strength, love, and kindness touched everyone who knew her. Angela’s greatest joy in life was her daughter, Brittany, whom she loved beyond measure.
She will be deeply missed but remembered with love and admiration. Her loved ones find solace in knowing Angela is now at peace in Heaven with her Lord and Savior, free from pain.
A memorial service for Angela will be held at Lowe Funeral Home, 2205 S Church Street, Burlington, NC 27215, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, Friday August 23, 2024. The family will receive guests following the memorial ceremony at the home of Kendall and Anita Gannon.
