Angela "Angie" Celeste White was born on June 13, 1972, in Jersey City to Ms. Gail White and Mr. Edward Hampton at Margate Hague Maternity Hospital. Angie brought joy, laughter, and light everywhere she went. She graduated from PS 32 in 1994. She was known for her impeccable memory, never forgetting a birthday or a line from a black 80s sitcom.

Angie was a faithful member of Mount Sinai Full Gospel Church under the leadership of Bishop Henry D. Hayes, who appointed her as Choir Secretary at the age of 18, a position she held with pride. Music was woven into her soul. She especially enjoyed swinging her hips on Sunday morning as the saints were up in praise. She loved gospel music deeply and collected hundreds of CDs over the years. Among her favorites was her beloved uncle, the late Bishop Richard "Mr. Clean" White, whose voice, ministry, and music brought her immense joy.

Angie also proudly participated in athletic programs and competitions, winning numerous medals through the Jersey City Department of Health Physical Education and Athletics, as well as the Special Olympics.

On Sunday, November 2, 2025, Angie fell asleep and woke up in heaven with a smile on her face. We rejoice in knowing she is now forever in the presence of her Lord and savior, singing with the angels, reunited with loved ones who have gone before.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Rose and Herbert Hampton Sr., and uncles Herbert Jr, Donald, and Marc Hampton. Her maternal grandfather Big John White, Aunt Karen Mallard, and uncles Richard, Bruce, Glenn, and Alan White, and beloved Great Aunt Jean and Great Uncle Butch.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving mother and father, Gail White and Edward Hampton; her loving and dedicated brother, Masai White; her loving niece, Keyari White; paternal uncles; Billy, Bobby (Lydia), Ray, and aunts Faye and Delores and maternal uncles; Kenton and Gilbert (JoAnn); and a host of aunties, cousins, church family, and friends who all adored her. Angie's life was a testament to love, joy, and faith, and her light will continue to shine brightly in every heart she touched.
