Angeline "Angie" Baggiano

With deep love and gratitude for her long and meaningful life, the family announces the passing of Angeline (Angie) Baggiano, who entered eternal rest at the age of 96 after a brief illness. A woman of grace, strength, and unwavering faith, she lived independently for nearly all of her years-a testament to the resilience and fortitude that defined her generation.
Born to the late Josephine and Joseph Baggiano, and preceded in death by her dear son, Richard, she grew up among many Italian immigrant families in Jamestown's beloved "Lost Neighborhood." Proud of her heritage and grounded in family and community, she carried the lessons and warmth of those early years throughout her lifetime.
After attending beauty school in Buffalo, she began her long career as a hairdresser at Roselle's Beauty Salon and spent most of her sixty-year profession beautifying and uplifting others at Karm's Beauty Salon in downtown Jamestown. Her clients became lifelong friends, and her kindness and skill touched multiple generations. She was also a proud member of the NYS Association of Cosmetologists.
A lifelong communicant of St. James Catholic Church, Angie was deeply involved in parish life, especially through the Altar and Rosary Society. Her devotion to her faith was steady and sincere, woven into the rhythm of her everyday life. She also enjoyed the fellowship of her parish community, including playing bocce with the St. James Church group.
Even in her later years, she remained active and spirited, especially cherishing her water aerobics sessions at the Boys and Girls Club. Her joyful presence, humor, and determination left lasting impressions on all who shared that time with her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sisters Sara Russo, Mary Josephine (Jay) Imre, and Sebastiana (Bessie) Baggiano; and by her brothers Carl Baggiano and Frank Baggiano.
Her love of family was evident in the joy she found in her cherished nieces and nephews-Joe, Frank, and Sebastian Baggiano; Jo Ann Hunter; Carleen Gilvesky; and Donna Charest-as well as the many great-nieces and great-nephews who survive her. Family gatherings, weddings, and celebrations brought her immense happiness, and she treasured every moment spent together.
Angie's life was rich in love, service, faith, and community. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her unshakable spirit, and the warmth she shared so freely.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12th at St. James Church. Visitation will not be observed, and burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
