Born in the scenic town of Tiriolo, Italy, on February 27, 1959, Angelo carried the essence of his Italian heritage throughout his life. His journey led him to Brick, New Jersey, where he spent his final moments.
Angelo was the beloved husband to Mary Ellen Angotti (nee Soranno), beloved son of Antonio and Tecla Angotti (nee Verruccio), the cherished brother of Philomena DeFenza, Flora Alicea, Anthony and GianCarlo Angotti. His vibrant spirit and hearty laugh filled the Angotti household, creating memories that his family will hold dear forever. He was a beacon of light and strength for his siblings, guiding them with love and wisdom. He was the father of Deanna Pinto (nee Bennert) and her husband, Christopher. Nonno to his grandchildren, Caysen, Haven and Cruz. He was the loving uncle to Rene and Ashley Alicea and their children Steven, Anthony and Gino, Steven and Syrene Alicea, Angelina Angotti, Fernando and Leticia DeFenza, Melissa and Keith Kramer and their children Garrett and Isabella and Shane and Dara Soranno and their children Ayden and Dominic.
Angelo's formative years were spent at John F. Kennedy High School in Paterson. He discovered his love for the culinary arts in Italy where his parents had a restaurant. This passion led him to a fulfilling career as a chef, a profession where he could express his creativity and love for Italian cuisine. He found joy in the simple act of cooking, whether it was preparing a feast for a crowd or a quiet meal for friends and family. His work was not just a job but a representation of his dedication to his craft and his involvement in the community. Angelo's kitchen was a place of warmth and welcome, where many gathered and few left without a full stomach and a smile. Angelo's interests extended beyond the kitchen. He was an avid outdoorsman, often found hunting and fishing in the serenity of nature. He leaves behind his three beloved hunting dogs, Hunter, Mia and Shirley. He loved to watch his dogs work in the fields. These activities were a source of peace and rejuvenation for him, a way to connect with the earth and its beauty. His love for the outdoors was paralleled by his commitment to his garden, where he grew a bounty of vegetables and herbs that often featured in his dishes. A sports enthusiast, Angelo's spirit was most vibrant on game days. He was a devoted fan of soccer, celebrating the sport's beauty and finesse. Football season was a special time of year, as he proudly supported his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. His loyalty to the Cowboys was unwavering, and game days were sacred occasions filled with excitement and camaraderie.
Angelo's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the simple pleasures of life. He approached each day with a sense of wonder and appreciation for the world around him. His absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will continue to inspire joy and gratitude.
