Angelo Carson Boria

Angelo C. Boria, 64, passed away peacefully at his residence on January 29, 2026. Born in the Bronx, NY, to Allener Jones Boria and Angelo A. Boria, Angelo was a man who lived life on his own terms-with a wide-open heart and a proud spirit.
Angelo was defined by his "chosen family." He never met a stranger, only family he hadn't claimed yet; in his eyes, there were no stepchildren, only children to love and grandchildren to spoil. He took immense pride in his Puerto Rican and Lumbee Indian heritage, honoring his roots and the strength of his tribe.
A man of simple pleasures and deep passions, Angelo loved his Bible, Star Trek, Westerns, and Marvel and DC heroes. Whether enjoying a bowl of cookies and cream ice cream or sharing a long meal and a laugh at a restaurant, he embraced life unapologetically.
Though he faced the human struggles of regret and the desire for more time with his children and grandchildren, his heart was always rooted in a search for peace and forgiveness. He is remembered today for his honesty, his warmth, and his belief that life was meant to be lived fully.
May he rest in peace.
Poem – "Just Like Angelo"
He loved with flair and loved out loud,
Collected hearts, and did it proud.
No steps, no halves, no lines to draw,
If you were there - you were his law.
With Bible near and roots held strong,
Puerto Rican pride lifelong.
Lumbee spirit, steady and true,
Carried him in all he'd do.
He loved his stars, his heroes bold,
His western tales, both new and old.
Ice cream nights and laughter wide,
Living life on his own stride.
He wasn't perfect - none of us are,
He had his storms, he bore his scars.
But deep inside, he wished for peace,
For hurt to heal, for pain to cease.
If forgiveness comes with gentle grace,
We know it meets him face to face.
So let us smile and not pretend -
He lived, he loved, right to the end.
