Angelo Fallanca Obituary

Angelo "Hank" Thomas Fallanca, 96, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Isabelle Fallanca, passed away on October 16, 2025. Born on April 9, 1929 in White Plains, New York, he was the son of the late Concetto and Annunziata Scordiano Fallanca.

At just 15 years old, Hank met his high school sweetheart, Isabelle, and from that moment on, their story became one of enduring love. Carrying his guitar in hand, he took the bus every day to see her, a journey that became the foundation of their 67-year marriage.

A proud and dedicated serviceman, Hank served his country in the U.S. Army for three years, followed by three years in the Air Force, and ultimately dedicated 25 years to the National Guard, retiring as a Master Sergeant in Civil Engineering. His commitment to service was a cornerstone of his life, built on duty, discipline, and heart.

Despite never attending college, Hank was a brilliant self-taught man who rose through the ranks at General Electric to become a respected supervisor. After retiring, he continued giving back to his community, first as a school bus driver, then as a beloved crossing guard in Milford, ensuring the safety of children every day with a smile and a kind word.

Music was the thread that ran through Angelo's life. A talented guitarist and accordion player, he was most at home strumming to the sound of country music, though his love for jazz grew in later years which sparked the benefit of musical education in Milford. Christmas was never complete without him gathering the family around the piano, leading them in joyful song.

To know him was to be lifted by his positivity. He was selfless, outgoing, and endlessly kind; the type of person who remembered your name, asked how your day was, and made you feel truly seen. His presence was a gift, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the honor of meeting him.

Angelo is survived by his children, Fred (the late Martha) Fallanca, Donna (the late David) Kasowitz, and Dennis (Regina) Fallanca; his grandchildren, Heather Fallanca, Kristen (Camello) Bonesse, Tracy (Will) Cash, Eric (Corey) Brushett, Alicia Fallanca, James Fallanca, Connor (Natalie) Fallanca, and Sofia Fallanca; and four beloved greatgrandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Avenue, Milford (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment and military honors will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry Street, Milford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Smooth Jazz for Scholars at https://www.jayrowemusic.com/ or PO Box 3723 Milford, CT 06460.
