Angelo Fulgieri, Obituary
Angelo Fulgieri, Jr., 60, of Rome, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026.
He was born in Rome, NY, on November 26, 1965, son of the late Angelo V. Fulgieri, Sr. and Janet Gualtieri Fulgieri. Angelo graduated from Rome Free Academy High School, Class of 1983. He worked for the Oneida County DPW for 27 years and was currently employed at Leonard Bus Sales, Inc., of Rome. He also worked, part time, for Save A Lot grocery store. Angelo was the owner of One Stop Vinyl Shop, in Rome, NY, where he met many longtime customers and friends.
He was an avid bowler, from a young age, joining the RFA Bowling Team in high school and achieving multiple 300 games in his adult career. Angelo was a talented drummer for over 40 years and played in a band alongside his lifelong friend, Tito Seoane. His father instilled in him a passion for antique cars and he owned a restored 1953 Ford Victoria that he took to many car shows.
The one achievement that Angelo was most proud of was being a father and his pride and joy in life was his daughter, Chesira (Jessie) Fulgieri. It was always dad and daughter against the world and the two shared a special bond.
Angelo was known for his quick wit that made people laugh and a smile that came from his heart.
Angelo is survived by his daughter, Jessie Fulgieri; mother, Janet Gualtieri Fulgieri; a sister, Maria Fulgieri; brother, Michael (Barbara) Fulgieri; two nieces, Taylor Fulgieri (Hunter) and Kayla (Joe) Doolittle; a special aunt, Jean Millington; and many close cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Angelo V. Fulgieri, Sr.; his nephew, Cameron Fulgieri; as well as several aunts and uncles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 9 a.m., from St. John the Baptist Church, 210 E. Dominick St., Rome. Relatives and friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., Rome, on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. Private burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.

To the Fulgieri family,
So sorry to read about Angelo´s passing. May God heal your aching hearts! Fond memories will lighten your spirits. Met Angelo when he was 3 years old. He was in the backyard, when I introduced myself; we lived two houses away on Gansevoort Avenue, as I was in the Air Force stationed at Griffiss AFB. The first thing he said to me was, "I´m not supposed to talk to strangers"! That was the beginning of a relationship with the Fulgieri family that now is 58 years later. We were newlyweds and the family took us in! Rest in peace Ang; you´re now with your Dad! Love you all.
