Angelo J. Pupillo

I used to go to the weekly classic car get-togethers at Dick's clothing & Sporting Goods featuring the 'Tom's Texas Hots' bus on Court St back in the day, and my by-far favorite was seeing Angelo with his 'Poison Ivy' '51 custom Merc... I can still hear the Righteous Brothers 'Soul & Inspiration' blaring on the speakers out in the parking lot....As a late-teen at the time, it just took ahold of me.... I have often wondered whatever became of the both of them, saddened to discover of Angelo's passing. I can remember him telling me about how he re-did that car before they ever came out with aftermarket patch panels for those cars... Such an inspiration for a young car guy that FINALLY has his own Merc after 35+ years of dreaming... Some things are just never forgotten....
Thank you for the inspiration and the memories Angelo, and may you rest easy my friend.
