Angie Gill Obituary

Publish in a newspaper

Angie Chuck Gill, at the age of 92 years old, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025 in Sunnyvale, CA.

Angie was born on March 30, 1933 to her proud parents Spasoje and Danica (Gacanich) Chuck. She was the second oldest of four children and was raised on the family's apricot and prune orchard in Cupertino, a life experience that shaped her hard work ethic and love of people and, of course, fresh fruits.

Angie was a proud alumnus of Fremont High School where she stayed active in her class's alumni association throughout her entire life. After graduating from Heald College, Angie served as one the most beloved Court Clerks in the Santa Clara County Municipal Court for over thirty years where she spent most of her career as one of the prized members Judge Nelson's team.

In October 1973, Angie married the love of her life Ken Gill. They enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Alaska and Europe, taking many trips throughout the years. They also loved playing golf and watching their favorite teams. After Ken's passing in 1995, Angie stayed active traveling and visiting with her treasured family and friends. She cherished her faithful companions, providing a home to several German Shepherds over the years. One of Angie's greatest joys was her family and friends. Angie and her sister Millie were incredibly close and more than sisters, they were best friends, something that Angie truly delighted in. So too, Angie loved to hear of everyone's life adventures especially those of her niece and nephews, great nieces and nephews, stepson, step grandchildren, cousins and dear friends. She always looked forward to the next time they would get together.

Angie always held a deep conviction to God and was an active member of Saint Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church in Saratoga and attended services regularly until her passing. During the founding of the Church in Saratoga, Angie was a founding member and served as past president and secretary of Saint Michael's auxiliary women's club, also known as KOLO.

Angie's warm smile and love of life leave all who knew her with loving memories, a strong belief in God and a wonderful example of a life well lived.

She was preceded in death by her parents Spasoje and Danica Chuck, her husband Ken Gill, her brothers Don Chuck and Alex Chuck, and her sister-in-law Georgina Chuck.

Angie is survived by her sister Millie (Chuck) Fleskes; brother-in-law Charlie Fleskes; sister-in-law Maxine Chuck; niece and nephews Mitch (and Janet) Chuck, Michele (Chuck) Winn, Mike (and Monica) Chuck, Sam (and Liza) Chuck; stepson Scott (June) Gill, step grandchildren Valerie and Randy, and six great-step-grandchildren; and cousins Andy (Cathy) Gacanich; Mary Nettles; and Julia Ball .

Vigil service will be Monday, September 22, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at Alameda Family Funeral Home, 12341 Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd., Saratoga, CA. Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 12:00p.m, St Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church, 18870 Allendale Ave, Saratoga, CA followed by burial at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose.
