Anita C. Cornelison

Anita C. Cornelison, age 86, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025.
Beloved wife of the late James K. Cornelison. Loving mother of James A. (Kari) Cornelison and Lisa (Mark) Bulthuis. Devoted grandmother of Caitlin (Connor Bonam), Hannah, Alyssa, and A.J., and adoring great-grandmother of Blake and Teddy Bonam. Dear sister of Dolores "Chickie" Smuskiewicz, and preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ann Serpico, and siblings Charles, Joseph, Camille, and William "Billy" Serpico.
Anita will be fondly remembered for her deep love of family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. She enjoyed art, particularly coloring, painting, and ceramics, and had a true passion for cooking - known by all for making the best spaghetti gravy around. Above all, Anita cherished time spent with her loved ones, creating lasting memories that will live in the hearts of many forever.
Family will receive guests from 9:30am until time of Memorial Mass, 10am, on Saturday, November 22nd at Mary, Mother of Divine Grace Parish – Divine Providence Church, 2550 Mayfair Ave., Westchester. Inurnment will be held privately by the family at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
