Anita Tailes Hill, 99, of Uvalde, Texas formerly of Pearsall, Texas passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, at Uvalde Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on July 1, 1926, in Uvalde, Texas to Loretta (Tailes) and Guillermo Hill.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery.
A devoted Catholic, she was a faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Pearsall, Texas. She was known for her remarkable memory, never forgetting a birthday and always sending a card to celebrate. Family was very important to her, and she cherished attending the Hill Family Reunion in California for as long as she was able. She treasured her home in Pearsall but moved to Uvalde a few years ago to be closer to her family.
She is survived by her son, Antonio Hill Villarreal and wife, Amanda of San Antonio; 2 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Eufemia Garcia, Ysidra Hill, and Loretta Lugo; five brothers, Marcelino Hill, Thomas Hill, Rodolfo Hill, Lorenzo Hill and Marcos Hill
