Anita Holland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anita Bounds Holland, age 76, of Pensacola, FL. She departed this life on November 25, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Anita was born on March 12, 1949, in Meridian, Mississippi to Joseph and Mavis Bounds. Anita met and married her high school sweetheart Hank Holland, in a little white chapel at Mayport Naval Station. They settled in Pensacola, Florida, where they built a beautiful life together.
Anita worked at Monsanto before joining KinderCare Learning Center, eventually becoming the area director for all KinderCare's in Northwest Florida. She deeply loved her work and the people she worked with. Later, she became a teacher's assistant with the Escambia County School District until she retired.
Faith played a leading role in Anita's life. Her first church was St Andrew UMC. Anita and Hank served as youth leaders. They later became devoted members of Crossview Church.
Anita is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mavis Bounds, husband Hank Holland, and brother Eddie Bounds. She is survived by her brother, Butch Bounds (Mo) and sister, Barbara James. Children: Angie Brown and Jeff Holland (Dona). Grandchildren: Courtney Smith (Shawn Bob), Jamie Schuster (Russell), Jared Brown (Mars), Taylor Lett (Toby), Lane Holland (Ruth) and Jason McKeehan. Great Grandchildren: Aubreigh, Allison, Liam, Harleigh, and Tobin. Best friend, Jan Overson.
Anita's love for her family, faith in Christ and dedication will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 10:30am until the service begins at 12pm.
