Condolences to her family and her loved ones

I can recall the joyous look on her face in the control room during the Young Americans recording sessions when I would hit the low notes she had written especially for me. I communicated with her one time in the past decade to revive the memory. Rest well Anita!

Anita Kerr had one of the most beautiful soprano voices in recorded music history. Her quartet was the essence of pure vocal beauty, the blending of voices and the classic interpretation of Pop music's greatest songs. I first became aware of her in 1961 her album the HIT SOUND and I collected at least a dozen of her great albums. Her recordings should be required listening to vocal students everywhere for their sheer perfection of blended voices. If anyone should have been inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame it would be Anita and her group of extraordinary vocalists.

Thank you, Anita, for all of the great music you gave us. Whether it be Country, Pop or Gospel, that beautiful have was always there. Although, you are gone, your music will continue to live. RIP Anita.

An indelible voice of my mind's soundtrack has been stilled. Listening to Country as a youth in Chicago in the late 50s and early 60's the Anita Kerr Singers were easy on the ears, bringing such wonderful background sound to so many great artists. And, she with her singers gave such enrichment to WLS radio jingles in The Windy City as well. No other female performer, producer, and orchestrator was as busy as Anita Kerr during the decades of the 50s into the 70s. Her voice and works will always remain lush and vibrant. Thank you, kind lady, for the memories in music.....for you gave us all so much in the caring sounds of voice. RIP.....from a fan, always.

Even as a teen growing up in the 1950's, I recognized the excellence of Anita Kerr and her singers on my Roy Orbison, Brenda Lee and Patsy Cline albums. Thank you for your musical magic, Ms. Kerr.

Anita Kerr was a once in a lifetime talent! She added so much to all the big named country artists.She changed the country music sound to "The Nashville Sound" , which opened the venue to the world.Her love of music came thru with every note she sang with the deepest compassion for her trade.There will never be another Anita! Thank you for all you done for the music world.Now may you be at rest and enjoy singing in the heavenly choir for all eternity.

A beautiful voice that will be missed. To the family I’m sorry for your loss. May prayers continue to be with the family.
