Mrs. Anita Lopardo, 101, passed away peacefully on January 10th surrounded by her beloved daughters.

She was born in Boston to Alfred & Edwidge Rondeau and is predeceased by siblings Noella Kirk, Theresa Desautels, Lucille Lewis, Rita Lundeen and Alfred Rondeau,Jr. She was the cherished wife to the late Michael Lopardo, loving mother to Janet Rosetti with whom she made her home and Susan Sears of New York City. She also leaves many devoted nieces and nephews and her dedicated caretaker, Christiana Aygare.

Anita led a wonderful life filled with faith and love. She cherished her family and took great joy in her home and neighbors.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and served in the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 201 for many years. After dedicating over 20 years to her role at the Worcester City Clerk’s office, she was honored for her selfless service to the city by being awarded the key to the city on her 90th birthday.

In her spare time, Anita enjoyed volunteering, gardening, crossword puzzles and trying out new restaurants. One of her simple joys was her 4:00 cocktail hour where she would unwind and share stories with loved ones.

Anita’s beautiful smile, grace and gentle spirit endeared her to all who met her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A memorial service will be held at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St, Worcester MA on Sunday, May 5th. Visitation hours: 11am - 12pm followed by a Memorial Service: 12pm.
