Anita Sampietro Pisani
Anita Sampietro Pisani, 62, of Wallingford passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, surrounded by her family at Midstate Medical Center, Meriden. She was the beloved wife of 16 years to Robert M. Pisani, Jr. Anita was born in New Haven on May 28, 1963, and was the daughter of the late Richard J. and Anna Ventura Sampietro. She earned her bachelor's degree from Albertus Magnus College and had worked in the banking industry for 34 years at Webster Bank until her retirement in 2021 as Senior Vice President of the FIU unit. Anita enjoyed baking, scrapbooking, was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, the UConn men and girls' basketball, and the New York Rangers. Anita loved all things Christmas and looked forward to celebrating every year. She was a member of the Wallingford Senior Center and a recent member of the Wallingford Elks Lodge. She is survived by her sisters Donna Bonini, Mary O'Briant (Kevin) and brother, Richard J. Sampietro, Jr. Daughter-in-law of Dolores Pisani and the late Robert M. Pisani, Sr. and sister-in-law of Paul Pisani and late Jeffrey Pisani. Aunt of Shelby and Joseph Bonini, William Hapeman, Jr. (Kayla), Tyler and Nicholas Pisani. Her favorite title of Titi (Great Aunt) to the "Joy of her Life" Eliana Bonini. The family would like to extend a very special and heartwarming thank you to Anita's care team at Midstate Medical Center including Dr. Gerard Fumo, Priscilla Moreira, Melissa Stephens and all the nurses and staff on Pavilion B for the excellent comfort and care they provided to Anita.
The visiting hours will be Friday, Nov. 7th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Saturday morning, Nov. 8th at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church/St. Paul VI Parish, Hamden at 10:00. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Hamden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org). www.northhavenfuneral.com
