Anita Lilly Riehman, 87, of Barrington, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025. She was born on September 29, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Carl and Lilly Vorholzer.
While attending Steinmetz High School, Anita met her future husband, Roger. Their teenage romance turned into a lifelong bond, and they were married on May 18, 1957 in Chicago. Together, they shared decades of laughter, partnership, and deep devotion.
Anita was a woman who appreciated the little things in life. She loved a good game of pinochle, was rarely without a book in hand, and found great comfort in the feel-good stories of the Hallmark Channel. Her greatest joy, however, was preserving family memories. She adored photographs and spent countless hours lovingly creating photo albums — each one a reflection of the people and moments she held close to her heart.
In addition to her devoted husband Roger, she is survived by her children, Deb (Ron) Kelly, Randy and Rick (Jen) Riehman; grandchildren, Alex and Becca Riehman. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her son, Tim Riehman.Services will be held privately.
