It is with a blend of sadness and celebration that we share the passing of Anita Smith, a beacon of light who illuminated the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Born in Dayton, Ohio, on October 20, 1969, Anita lived a life marked by compassion, loyalty, and unwavering support for those she loved. Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Anita embodied this sentiment entirely, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and kindness on everyone she met.

For 35 years, Anita lent her thoughtful touch to the world of hairstyling, shaping not only the styles of her beloved clients but also their spirits with her pleasant demeanor and empathetic heart. An ardent lover of shopping, health and wellness, and hair, Anita was also a devoted mother, passionate about learning and reading, particularly in the realm of holistic medicine. These hobbies were not just pastimes for Anita, but rather extensions of her nurturing spirit. She believed in the power of holistic healing and its ability to promote wellbeing. Her supportive nature and dedication to her craft were testaments to her unwavering loyalty, not only to her profession but also to her loved ones.

Anita is survived by her daughters, Javairia Caesar and Hayden Wright, her mother Marlaine Wright, her sister Tina Collier, her aunt Linda Lindsey, her father Marvin Sr, her nephew Tramelle Forbes, and her brother Marvin Jr. The connection she shared with her family was a testament to her compassionate soul. An invitation is extended to all who knew and loved Anita to join us for a visitation on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 am EST at the Revival Center Ministries, 3011 Oakridge Drive, Dayton, Ohio, 45417. The celebration of Anita's life will follow at the same venue at 12:00 pm EST, where we will remember and honor her vibrant spirit.
