Anita Joan Stanis

I have my grandmother's hands. They are the most beautiful hands; they're the same hands that read to me as a child, and the same hands that drew protective runes on my forehead before going on a trip. I held them as she gently and peacefully passed away on October 28, 2025 aged 79, and surrounded by her loved ones in her home in Jacksonville, FL. My grandmother Anita Stanis was born on September 04, 1946 in Needham, MA. She dedicated her life to helping others by getting her nursing degree from Point State Park, where she also met the love of her life, James Stanis, of whom she is survived by. She is also survived by her two beautiful daughters Allison Stanis and Rachel Markley, and her four loving grandchildren Griffin Epps, Olivia Simpson, Eden Markley and Cora Markley. There will be no services held as she only believed in a celebration of life, which will be announced at a later date. From the bottom of our hearts we say bon voyage, and safe travels!
