Ann Wascher Bryan passed away on November 22, 2025. She was born September 4, 1933 in Ridgefield, Connecticut to William and Mary (Bullock) Wascher. She was preceded in death by her husband Max Bryan, her parents, her sisters Marie Riga and Teresa Rodriguez and her brother Michael Wascher. She grew up in Ybor City outside of Tampa, Florida and graduated high school from Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPHA) Catholic School. She and her sister Tessie moved to Washington, DC in the mid-1950s where Ann met Max who was in electronics school with her brother Mike. Max and Ann were married in 1955 and had two children, Brenda and Jim.

Some people collect art or antiques. Ann collected friends and she stayed in touch with many of them her whole life, remembering details about their lives that even they may not remember. The earliest of her friends was the boy next door in Tampa from her elementary school days. Her most recent friends are her caregivers, therapists and the residents at AG Rhodes where she's lived for the last part of her life, and there were thousands of friends in between. She became part of several large extended families (you know who you are, Galeckis, O'Donnells, Ward/O'Sheas, and more). She was the person who would chat with the person next to her on the plane and they actually liked it! When she visited her daughter in Oregon, Ann would get off the plane and introduce her newest friend and be able to tell fun details about them - they were vegan, an author, wore shoes that cured all of their joint aches, or things they probably didn't think about telling anybody else except Ann.

Throughout her life, she was the person who made everything look easy and made everything simpler just by being here. We miss her already, as she would say. Service arrangements will be announced in the next few weeks.
