On March 2, 2025, the world said goodbye to a truly special soul, Ann K. (Carr) Starr, born on September 17, 1940, in Montague, MA, lived most of her life in West Groton, MA. Ann left an indelible mark on every life she touched. Her resilience and courage, particularly in her two triumphant battles against breast cancer, and leukemia were an inspiration to all who knew her. Ann was a devoted cook at Hale Nursing Home for many years. She was an avid genealogist, connecting the dots of her large family's history with ardent curiosity and dedication. She was an active woman who enjoyed bowling on Tuesdays, Jazzercise and her Health Rider, infusing fun and laughter into her routine. A skillful hand at crocheting, Ann's creations were warm and welcoming to all who received them.

Ann is survived by her sons Roy, Thomas, Todd, her siblings Milton, Arthur, Howard, Lois, Daniel, Joyce, Christy, Judy, Bruce and David. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren along with countless lifetime friends. She was predeceased by her son Alan, longtime partner James (Jim) Waugh, granddaughter Jessica, brother Jon and her parents, Milton and Mary Starr.

Her life will be celebrated with a visitation at Badger Groton Funeral Home, 45 School Street, Groton, Massachusetts, 01450, on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
