Obituary of Ann Marie Cocito

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Marie Cocito of Freehold, NJ. Ann Marie passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, after spending one final afternoon surrounded by family and friends.

She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 44 years, James Vincent Cocito; her son, Vincent Cocito, his wife, Becky, and their sons, James and Frankie. She is also survived by her devoted mother, Catherine Boccardi, whose bond with Ann Marie was extraordinary. She was predeceased by her father, Frank Boccardi, a wonderful man whose strength, kindness, and love helped shape the remarkable woman she was. In addition, she leaves behind her three brothers, Michael, Paul, and Joseph, as well as her loving sisters-in-law, Gloria, Dorian, Shannon, Linda, and Debbie, their families, and countless dear friends.

There is so much to be said about Ann Marie, beginning with her remarkable sense of humor. From her hilarious overdub recordings of TV shows to the comedy variety videos she created with friends, her wit was truly unmatched. She loved to entertain and throw parties, always filling her home with laughter, warmth, and joy.

Ann Marie was endlessly generous with her time, her home, and her many talents. A gifted crafter and a natural host, she was always ready to help, support, and uplift anyone who needed her. She loved to sing, dance, and laugh, and she enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City, but nothing ever meant more to her than her family. Once Ann Marie welcomed you into her circle of love, you were family. If she trusted you, you became part of her life forever.

Known to many simply as "Am," she was everyone's protector, friend, mentor, rock, and confidant. And now, she is our Angel, an angel to all whom she loved and who loved her, watching over her cherished ones today and those yet to come.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel's Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, Marlboro. For information, directions or to leave condolence messages to the family, please visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
