Ann Lurline Ebner died Tuesday, April 11, 2023. She was a caring mother, grandmother, sister and aunt to many relatives and friends to many. She was born March 21,1944 the oldest of three in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii to Mildred and Robert Evans of
Hilo, Hawaii.
She attended elementary, secondary and high schools on the Big Island of Hawaii, graduated from Mt. Angel College with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, and later earned a master's degree in elementary education. Upon graduation she worked at Monitor Elementary School in a variety of grade levels over the course of 29 years touching the lives of many students and families along the way.
In 1965 she met Jerome Ebner of
Mt. Angel, Oregon, and they married on August 13, 1966. Jerome and Ann owned and operated Mt. Angel Meat Company until he retired.
Ann was very hands on in the horse world and served as board members and officers in four different horse associations: the Salem Saddle Club, The NW Buckskin Horse Association, the Oregon Horseman as well as the Oregon Pinto.
She is survived by her daughter Rose Nguyen (Clay) of Oregon City; her son Michael Ebner of Keizer; daughter Heidi Ebner of Mt. Angel; and four grandchildren: Haley, Hannah, and Heather Ebner of Keizer and Jared Wooton of Oregon City; sister Marilyn Hind (Francis) of Hawaii; brother Robert Evans of Arizona; and her nieces and nephew: Livia Stellwagen, Nikki Hind, Gina Peebles; and Sean Hind.
