Ann Elizabeth (Strausbaugh) Fahringer, age 86, of York, died on Thursday, February 29, 2024.  Ann was born on Wednesday, September 22, 1937, in Dallastown, PA to the late Clinton Strausbaugh and Mary (Bentz) Strausbaugh.  Ann was the widow of Richard “Dick” Fahringer, whom she married in February of 1960, and who died on October 12, 2018.  In addition to her parents and husband, Ann is preceded in death by her two brothers: Paul and Louis Strausbaugh; and her beloved Basset Hound companion, Jake. 

 

Ann’s survivors include her brother, David Strausbaugh and his wife, Gloria Fultz, of Richfield, PA; and several cousins.

 

Ann enjoyed gardening, shopping, collecting paperweights, and walking up the “hill” on Lancaster Avenue.  She loved to travel, especially to visit her mother in California.  She had a special place in her heart for her Basset Hound, Jake.  She will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

 

Ann’s family will be remembering her life privately.   Interment in Holy Savior Cemetery in York will be at the family’s convenience.  Cremation was private.
