Ann Gennaro, a cherished soul whose kindness and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, in Wallkill, NY.
Born on May 29, 1952, in the Bronx, NY, Ann's life was a testament to the love and joy she brought into this world.Married to her soulmate, Paul Gennaro, for 52 years, Ann's love story was one of mutual respect, unwavering support, and countless shared dreams. Together, they raised their daughter, Andrea, instilling in her the values of love and kindness that Ann embodied so effortlessly. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she nurtured their home with an abundance of love and care. Ann's warmth and generosity extended beyond her family, touching the lives of everyone she met.A student at Saunders Trades and Technical High School in Yonkers, Ann's professional journey was marked by her dedication and hard work. She began her career as a secretary at New York Telephone Company, where she was known for her efficiency and warm demeanor. Her passion for helping others led her to become a teacher's aide at Valley Cottage Elementary School. Later, Ann continued to support education as a secretary at Rockland Community College, where her organizational skills and kindness made her an integral part of the institution.Ann's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She was an avid player of Mahjong and Canasta, enjoying many afternoons with her close-knit group of friends. A true Yankees fan, Ann cherished watching games with her family, reveling in the triumphs and enduring the defeats with them. In her quest to visit as many diners as possible in search of the perfect Yankee Bean Soup she rated diners with the seriousness of a Michelin inspector. Animals held a special place in Ann's heart. Her love for all creatures great and small was evident to anyone who knew her. She approached the world with a loving heart. Those who knew Ann will remember her as a loving and kind soul, whose gentle presence could light up a room. She lived her life with a quiet strength and a smile that could ease any burden. Ann's legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. As we bid farewell to Ann, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a spirit that will forever be remembered. Her journey on this earth may have ended, but the memories she created will continue to inspire and comfort us all. Ann's life was a true embodiment of love, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. "Live, Laugh, Love".
