LACONIA ---- Ann Giles, 95, formerly of Bridgewater, died peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025, with family by her side at Taylor Community in Laconia.
Ann was born on July 2, 1930, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Applin) Giles.
Newfound Lake, where she spent time from earliest childhood until May of this year, was her happiest place on earth.
She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law: Lynne and Chip Morgan and Lee and Gordon Sutherland; as well as six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, whose phone calls and FaceTime visits provided much delight in her final days.
The family is deeply grateful to the personnel at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the hospice staff from Quality Care - notably Tanaya Call, and the team at Taylor Community for treating her injuries and making every effort to keep her comfortable at the end of her life.
The family will have a private time of remembrance at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family would encourage donations in her memory to The Mayhew Program, 293 W Shore Rd, Bristol, NH 03222, the Newfound Lake Region Association, 10 N Main St #1, Bristol, NH 03222, or the Circle Program in Plymouth, 85 Main St, Plymouth, NH 03264.

Ann was a wonderful lady and cherished friend. I met Ann at Newfound Lake in the early 90s. We sailed together in the British Virgin Islands. Four people sailing in a 38-foot boat is a unique way to make life-long friends. My husband and I were married in July 1994 at the Bridgewater Inn. After the reception Ann and Peter Brown took us for a country ride in her antique car. It was a marvelous and fun day! As I permanently live in New Mexico, we communicated via email. Whenever I was in New Hampshire I made a point to visit Ann and go to lunch. We last visited each other at the Taylor Home in Laconia. Ann and I perfectly understood each other! I learned a great deal from Ann and SO valued our friendship. I will greatly miss her!

Fondly,
