Ann Nye Brown, age 76 of Miamisburg, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024. She was born January 29, 1948 in Charleston, West Virginia the daughter of the late George and Daisy Guthrie. She graduated from Charleston High School and earned her Bachelors Degree from West Virginia University where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Ann worked as an administrative assistant and payroll clerk for Trotwood - Madison and Northridge Schools. As a child Ann was known as a National Rifle Champion. She spent many summers at Camp Allegheny as both a camper and counselor. Ann loved spending time at the pool. She had many loyal friends and enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre, with them. Ann was an avid sports fan and followed West Virginia University Football, Cincinnati Reds, Ohio State Football, and Pro Tennis. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her book club. Ann will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Father, George N. and Daisy Guthrie; Brother, George G. Guthrie, and dear Friend, Kathy Potterfield.
Ann is survived by her Daughters, Georgianne (Eric) Lowman, Lauren (Joe) Hartings; Granddaughters, Ava Lowman, Addy Lowman, and Jocelyn Hartings; Sister-In-Law, Nancy Guthrie; and many loyal friends.
Donations may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Centerville (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459).
