Mrs. Ann Joyce Hemmingway transitioned with the Lord peacefully Friday on March 8, 2024. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of West Tampa, 1302 N. Willow Avenue, Tampa, FL 33607 with Pastor Rayford Harper, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Ann Joyce Hemmingway was born on February 9, 1937, in Arcadia, Florida to Charlie Everhart Sr., and Mary Williams Lembricks. Ann Joyce was educated in Hillsborough County Public School System. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of West Tampa. She was a retiree from Tampa General Hospital Textile department where she worked for over twenty years.
Ann Joyce was preceded in death by: her husband, Homer James Hemmingway; parents, Charlie Everhart Sr. and Mary Williams Lembricks; brother, Charles Everhart Jr.; son, Alphonso Roberts; aunt, Nellie B. Smith; and cousin, Diane Carey.

"To everything there is a season." Ann has entered a new season of her life and praise be to God, she is at peace, and it is well with her soul!
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. The Family is asking for all family and friends to meet at First Baptist Church of West Tampa for the 2:00 p.m. service.

I will miss you so much Granny. I´ll miss hearing you say, "The Baby." I´ll miss us dancing together. I'll miss giving you money to save for me, just for me to ask for it two days later. I promise you I will learn to save...Tomorrow.
