Johnson, Ann J. age 94 of Minneapolis went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 8, 2026. Ann was born in Elgin, Illinois in 1931. Ann met her husband Don in Mpls. Ann said at the time of their engagement that "Don was the catch of the year." They were married for 63 years before Don's passing in 2015. Church, family and hospitality were dear to Ann's heart. Preceded in death by her husband Donald Johnson; son Bruce Johnson; granddaughter Jessica McDougall; parents Roy and Ruby Thompson; sister Nancy Larson. Survived by daughter Lisa McDougall (David); grandsons Joel McDougall (Jamie); Sean Johnson (Jessie); Taylor Johnson (Chelsea); Wyatt Johnson; ten great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation is on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 5-7 PM at Washburn-McReavy 5000 W 50th St. Edina, MN. Funeral service is on Friday February 20, 2026 at 12:30 PM with visitation one hour prior at First Evangelical Free Church 5150 Chicago Ave. So. Mpls. Lunch following the service. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to First Evangelical Free or N.C. Little Hospice.
