Ann Johnston Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Southeast Funeral and Cremation Services - Easton on Mar. 5, 2026.
Ann Frances Johnston, 96, of North Easton passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, at Boston Medical Center in Brockton. She was born in Medford, MA on September 24, 1929. She was the daughter of James Ruggiero and Josephine (Antonelli) Ruggiero.

She grew up in East Boston/Winthrop. She married and moved around the country with her former husband as an Army wife before settling in Stoughton, MA where she raised her family. Ann moved to Dallas, Texas in 1981. While living in Dallas she attended Christ for the Nation Bible College. She returned back to Massachusetts in 1999 and settled in North Easton, MA.

Ann became a minister and later a pastor at Church of the Living God. She lived her life serving the Lord. While in Dallas, she did a lot of street ministry work and also spent time in China as a missionary. Ann loved God, her family, and her extended church family. She enjoyed food, especially Italian food, and was quite the food critic. She loved to spend time with her family and to sing, dance and laugh. She was known as a prayer warrior and a prophet. Her family and friends could call her any time, day or night for prayer and she would pray with them, pray for them or put them on the prayer line. Her prayers were powerful. She will be missed by all that knew her and loved her.

Ann was pre-deceased by both her parents and six of her siblings, Nicholas, Joseph, James, Walter Ruggiero, and her sisters, Mary Ciulla and Regina Thompson. She was also pre-deceased by her two sons, Robert Johnston and Karl (Gordon) Johnston and her son-in-law Jeremiah Reardon. She is survived by her two daughters, Marianne Kwiatkowski
(Robert) and Cheryl Penney (Arthur), 9 grandchildren, Kimberly Lyerla, Emily Kelly, Luke Johnston, Jessica Laslie (Matthew), Melissa Harris (Rasheed), Amanda Wojtkunski (Matthew), Courtney Reardon, David Kwiatkowski (Shandra) and Brittany Thingvold (Joshua); fifteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, her two daughter-in-law's Karen Kelly and Beverly Johnston and her best friend and sister, Frances Vose and her goddaughter Lisa Leger (Maurice), along with several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Southeast Funeral Home, 93 Center St., North Easton, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, immediately followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Knoll Cemetery 175 Staples St., East Taunton, MA. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
