Ann Madden Obituary

Ann Allyn Forlenzo Madden
Ann F. Madden, 94, of Cheshire, CT, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, at Marbridge Assisted Living in Cheshire. She was born on September 17, 1931, in Waterbury, CT, to the late Robert Charles Allyn and Helen Shirley (Strubell) Allyn of Watertown, CT.
Ann graduated from Watertown High School before attending Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing in Waterbury, CT, where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. She married her husband, Alphonse D. Forlenzo, in 1961 and moved to Cheshire, where they raised their family together until Al passed away in 2000.
In 2002, Ann married Joseph R. Madden. Eventually, they moved to Elim Park in Cheshire, where they enjoyed many happy years with their friends until Joe's passing in 2021. She then moved to Marbridge, making new friends with other residents and the wonderful staff that supported her (and our family) in so many ways.
Ann was a member of The First Congregational Church of Cheshire for almost 60 years, serving on various committees and involved in many volunteer functions. She was a member and past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star (Masonic Temple), member of the Lady Fenwick Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), both of Cheshire.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Richard) Forlenzo Walsh of Fulshear, TX, and Cynthia Forlenzo of Cheshire; grandsons, Patrick Walsh of Katy, TX, and Daniel Burgio of Cheshire; as well as great-grandchildren, stepchildren, and step-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The First Congregational Church of Cheshire. Burial will be private.
