Ann Maurine Moreland ObituaryAnn was born in Iowa and moved to Colorado Springs when she was four years old. In the early 1950's her parents moved to Black Forest and opened a general store.
She met Willie Moreland in May of 1957 and they were married in November of the same year. Over time they were blessed with four children, Kenny, Dede, Ricky and Kristi.
In the late 1960's the family moved to Leadville Colorado and remained there for until the early 1980's.
Through the years Ann wore many hats! Something she was always very good at. While raising a family she also was involved in foster parenting, acted as a probation officer for juveniles, was a deputy dog-catcher, heavily involved in the local Explorer's Post and worked at Leadville's St. Vincent hospital. Needless to say, she was hard to keep up with!
In 1982 Ann and Willie moved back to Colorado Springs where she worked at Penrose hospital as a housekeeper. Ann also worked as an independent housekeeper for several clients before making the decision to stay at home to care for her husband Willie after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Willie passed away in 2008.
In 2011 Ann made the decision to leave the city to move to Buena Vista Colorado.
She remained there until 2022 when she moved to Canon City due to health issues (Alzheimer's disease). In 2023 Ann moved back to Colorado Springs where she resided until her passing.
Anne was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband Willie and son Kenny.
She is survived by Kenny's wife (B.J.) Denver, Dede (Sherry) Buena Vista, Ricky (Elaine) Colorado Springs, Kristi (Mike Cline) Colorado Springs.
She will be deeply missed by her six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild and one on the way!
We will miss you MeMe!!!
