Ann Niedheiser, age 96, of Naperville, Illinois passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023. She was born on August 17, 1926, in Des Plaines, Illinois to Joseph and Elizabeth "Eva" (nee Krisser) Walter.
Ann graduated from Main East High School in 1944. During the war she clerked for the Navy and was active in the USO. After the war ended, she married George Bruck and had three daughters. After divorcing George, she became a secretary and then an office manager. She met her second husband, Bob Niedheiser, through Parents Without Partners. They loved to travel and were very active in their later years in San Antonio's Silver Sneakers, where they had lots of friends. After Bob's death, she moved back to Illinois to be near her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ann lived at Alden Horizons in Aurora and enjoyed playing poker with her friends there.
Ann is survived by her loving daughters, Pamela (Richard) Gutmann, Debra (J. Patrick) Guerin, Georgiann (the late Richard) Eder; grandchildren, Christopher Gutmann, Brie Gutmann, Melinda (Paul) Predovic, Sean Guerin; great-grandchildren, Jack, Charli Rose, Anneke, Gabrielle, James, Avery, Claire, Hanna, Eli, Cole, and Espyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eva Walter; first husband, George S. Bruck; second husband, Robert W. Niedheiser; sister, Elizabeth Huss; and brother, Conrad P. Walter.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville. Interment Private. Her lifelong love of animals is celebrated with her family's request for donations in lieu of flowers to Naperville Area Humane Society.
