Ann R. (Derome) O’Brien, 85, of Brockton and recently Easton, died peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Boston Medical Center South in Brockton. Born in Sutton, VT, daughter of the late John and Evelyn Derome, she was raised and educated in Holbrook, MA. After high school Ann attended the Henry O. Peabody School of Cosmetology. She became a hair stylist and enjoyed a 60 year career. Ann worked at Classic Cutters in Brockton for many years until she opened her own home salon. She loved her career and her large following of clients. Ann was keen to all things fashion. She was a talented crafter, and loved to paint and sew. A small town girl at heart, she especially loved her many summer trips to Vermont & New Hampshire with her late husband Bill O’Brien, better known as “OB”. She loved music and always enjoyed dancing. Her most favorite role was being a grandmother to her cherished Anthony & Taylor. Lovingingly known as "Mimo", Ann attended countless hockey games, dance recitals and skating shows to cheer her grandchildren on. She and her late husband, Bill O’Brien enjoyed many family trips together with them. She will be lovingly remembered for her cheerful personality and kind soul.

Ann is survived by her beloved daughter Rene A. Jackson and her husband Ronnie of Vineyard Haven and her grandchildren, Anthony Jackson of SC and Taylor Jackson of NY. She was the sister of John W. Derome of Brockton and the late Russell Derome and Michelle Petta.
