Ann Nunley Poindexter, age 78, passed away on October 30, 2025, in Madisonville, Kentucky. Born on April 27, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, Ann lived a life defined by compassion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to helping others.
A proud graduate of Notre Dame Academy in 1964, Ann carried the values she learned during her education into every aspect of her life. Her professional journey reflected her enduring passion for service and education. Throughout her career, she held various roles, including schoolteacher, telecom operations professional, and Headstart Assistant, each allowing her to make a meaningful impact in her community.
Ann is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles and Shirley Nunley.
A true introspective spirit, Ann found solace in journaling, using her writing as a means of reflection and expression. Her thoughtful nature endeared her to many, and she was deeply cherished by all who knew her.
Ann is survived by her son, Timothy Nunley; her siblings, Joy, Gwen, and Chuck; and a host of family members and friends who will carry forward the warmth of her memory.
Ann’s presence will be profoundly missed by her family and friends. May her memory serve as a source of comfort and inspiration to all whose lives she touched.
A service will be held at a later date.
