Ann Stickler

Ann J. (Rice) Stickler, 88, of Stanford, KY passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Born on June 5, 1937 in Stanford to the late Thomas Hartwell "Hart" Rice and the late Allie Davis Rice. She is the widow to the late Ned Norris Stickler.

Ann retired after working over 40 years at American Greetings in Danville, KY. She was a member of Stanford Church of Christ. At home, she was the heart of her family, a devoted wife, loving mother, adored grandmother, and cherished great-grandmother. Her love for her family was as deep as the roots that tied her to Lincoln County, where she spent her entire life. Ann's hobbies and passions were simple, yet profound: her church, her family, and her friends. She was a much-loved member of her community and the Stanford Church of Christ, where her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. With a warm spirit and unwavering devotion to her loved ones, Ann lived a life of service, kindness, and faith.

Survivors include one son, Greg Stickler (Donna) of Las Vegas, NV; three sisters, Louise Spears, Lucille Sudduth and Linda Denham; five grandchildren, Brandon Stickler (Kim), Sammy Stickler (Amy), Douglas Hoskins (Michelle), Deidra Hoskins and Aaron Bond (Laury); six great-grandchildren, Brianna Avery, Aiden, Isaiah, Zachary and Bryce; five step-great-grandchildren, Wiatt, William, Diamond, Abigail and Emma; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ned Norris Sticker; parents, Hart and Allie Rice; three brothers, Hartwell "Jack" Rice, Henry Carl Rice and Roger Rice; and three sisters, Laverne Law, Freda Stevens and Christine Henderson.

A one-day service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Brent Baker and Shelby Roy Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.

Active Pallbearers are Jeff Stickler, Jamie Stickler, Zachary Baker, Bryce Baker, Tommy Sudduth, Pat Rice and Doug Hoskins.

Honorary Pallbearer is Aaron Bond.
