Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Ann Dillard Withrow, 84, passed away on January 22, 2025, after a long illness.
A native of Greer and raised on Dillard's Peach Farm, she was the daughter of the late William Palmer and Constance Hemphill Dillard. Ann was known for her ready smile and gentle heart. At Greer High School, she was active in the band, later graduating with a B.A. from Winthrop University, and receiving a Master's degree from Converse College. She was a conscientious and patient teacher at Davenport Jr. High, Fairview Elementary, Taylors Elementary, and Blue Ridge Middle School. Former students often approached her to express how they remembered her and her positive impact on their lives. Ann was also known for her love of history, scenic walks with her husband, and dedication to her children and grandchildren. Her passion for her community, church, and charitable causes will be deeply missed.
Ann is survived by her loving husband, Scott Withrow; sons, Hal McFeely (Joy) and Chris McFeely; grandchildren, Sarah and Maxx McFeely; brother, Lem Dillard (Barbara); and numerous family and friends.
