Ann Catherine Colligan Wyrick, a beloved member of the Hamilton community, passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 77. She was born on November 8, 1947, in Hamilton, to Michael J. Colligan III and Laverne W. (née Armbrust) Colligan. Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a passionate professional who served her community with unwavering commitment.

Ann spent her formative years within the comforting embrace of Colligan Funeral Home, an experience that profoundly shaped her lifelong career. She worked in banking and at Ohio Casualty for many years. After ensuring her family was well-established, Ann returned to school and worked diligently to earn her degree from Miami University.

She later took a significant step by assuming ownership of the Colligan Funeral Home, a role she embraced for decades until her passing. Her compassion and dedication left a lasting impact on those she served, as she consistently went above and beyond to ensure families received the care and support they needed during difficult times.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ann was a devoted dog lover and an avid reader, finding joy and solace in literature. Her love for animals reflected her warmth and kindness, traits that resonated deeply with everyone she encountered.

Ann is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bob Wyrick; her children, Sean (Kim) Wyrick and Ryan (Cassie Ruhlman) Wyrick; and her grandchildren, Colleen, Ryan, Kate, and Adler Wyrick.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Patrick M. Colligan.

Ann Colligan Wyrick will always be remembered for her unwavering support, generous spirit, and immeasurable contributions to those around her. Her life was one of service and love, a true reflection of her character and the enduring legacy she leaves behind.

A private service, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, was held on November 27, 2024.
